Let me tell you how this started.
I didn’t grow up with a lot of athletic talent, crazy genetics, or a rich family.
I grew up in Guåhan, a small Pacific Island, raised in a culture where we aren’t taught to prioritize our health or mind, especially as a woman.
We’re taught to put everyone else before ourselves.
At 17, I contracted bacterial meningitis while paddling (outrigger canoe) and nearly lost my life.
The doctors told me I would take 6-12 months to fully recover and I remember telling myself, “There is no way.”
Tryouts for the national team were in 2 months, so I forced myself to stand after 3 weeks bedridden, then to walk, and was off crutches in 1 month and back to the water.
From there, I recognized the power of my mind and taking full autonomy over myself. So I dove deeper into my love for fitness, my sport, all while juggling full time college courses and 3 jobs.

At 21, I got my Personal Training and Nutrition Coaching certification and devoted myself to learning how to use my mind to change both my body and my life. A few years later, I’ve finally created the coaching program I wish I had when I first started.
